KAMENAR ANNOUNCE SPRING 2026 TOUR WITH POP EVIL

Tampa, FL — Twin brother hard rock duo Kamenar are hitting the road this spring with multi-platinum rock band Pop Evil, April 2nd through May 2nd, bringing their high-energy live show to audiences across the United States.

This upcoming run holds significance for the band, as Kamenar cites Pop Evil as an early inspiration. In fact, the brothers recorded a cover of Pop Evil’s song “Ways to Get High” for their 2020 debut EP, long before the opportunity to tour together would arise.

Hailing from Tampa, Sean and John Kamenar have built a reputation as one of rock’s most unique and electrifying independent touring acts. Performing as a two-piece band that delivers the sonic power of a full four-piece, the duo creates a massive sound with Sean handling lead vocals, guitar, and bass simultaneously, while John drives the band’s explosive energy on the drums.

The tour marks one of the band’s most extensive runs to date and includes several standout shows — including three nights at the legendary The Machine Shop in Flint, with the first two dates already sold out.

In addition to the tour, Kamenar continue to build momentum with their latest singles — “Animal,” “Now That We Both Know,” and “The Man” — all available now on major streaming platforms. Aerosmith’s Bassist Tom Hamilton Makes Final Appearance at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster with New Band Close Enemies and Twin Brother Rock Duo Kamenar

Aerosmith’s Bassist Tom Hamilton Makes Final Appearance at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. The end of an era is officially in sight at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and legendary Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton wasn’t about to let it pass without one last high-speed goodbye.

Yesterday, Hamilton made a surprise appearance at the park, visiting the iconic Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith for what is expected to be his final time as the attraction’s featured artist. Accompanied by members of his new powerhouse rock band, Close Enemies, and the rising twin-brother duo Kamenar, Hamilton took a moment to reflect on the ride that has stood as a monument to the “Bad Boys from Boston” since 1999. FYI, Chasen Hampton is the lead singer of Close Enemies. Chasen was in the 90’s Mickey Mouse Club and The Party.

A Passing of the Torch

The visit was a full-circle moment for several people in attendance. Pictured alongside Hamilton were Sean and John Kamenar of the band Kamenar. The twin brothers, who are currently opening for Hamilton on tour, have famously credited the Aerosmith coaster as the very reason they started playing music. After discovering the band through the ride at age 13, the brothers formed their own group, eventually finding themselves sharing the stage with their idol.

The Final Curtain:

Fans hoping to catch one last ride with Aerosmith need to act fast. Disney recently confirmed that the attraction will officially close on March 2, 2026, to undergo a massive retheming.

If you missed Tom Hamilton at the theme park, you can still catch him in action. Close Enemies, featuring Hamilton on bass, will be performing right outside of Orlando at the Mount Dora Music Hall tomorrow, Thursday, January 29.

Rising Stars: Meet Kamenar of Tampa, FL

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kamenar

Hi Kamenar, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
We are an independent national touring hard rock band from Tampa, FL.

My brother and I formed the band in 2015 after discovering Aerosmith through their Rock n’ Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios.

Taking a lot of inspiration from the 70’s and 80’s, we go the old school route and constantly TOUR, TOUR, TOUR.

We have opened and shared stages with Ace Frehley, Night Ranger, Alice Cooper, Slash ft. Myles Kennedy, Bret Michaels, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Everclear, Faster Pussycat, LA Guns, Hinder, Puddle Of Mudd, Saliva, Nita Strauss, Dokken, King’s X, Geoff Tate, Jackyl, Stephen Pearcy, Trixter and Slaughter, among others.

We have performed at festivals alongside Stone Temple Pilots, Chevelle, John 5 and Hoobastank.

We have also been out on numerous tours supporting 10 Years, Smile Empty Soul and Keith Wallen of Breaking Benjamin.

We started this band when we were 13 and have always had the mentality to keep working hard! With no plan b ever in mind, we started doing music full time at age 18 and haven’t looked back since.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s been far from smooth haha

As an independent band, we manage ourselves, book our own shows/tours, and release & promote our own music.

Our hands our full 24/7 but at the end of the day it’s very rewarding.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
As saturated as today’s music scene is, you have to figure out how to set yourself apart from the others.

That’s when we decided to go out as a two piece, just two twin brothers.

With a goal to be different, we are proud of our unique product as twins. Defying odds, we perform as a two piece handling a five piece sound without backing tracks. Our live show highlights my brother playing guitar and bass simultaneously, as well as a duel twin brother drum solo!

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
There will always be people out there that don’t want to see you win. Just keep working hard and stay focused!

And always – stay true to yourself, and do what makes YOU happy.

We are truly blessed for all of the love and support throughout the last 10 years and can’t wait to see what the future holds!

Everywhere you look these days…Kamenar is playing a show near you! If you haven’t had the privilege to see them live, do yourself a huge favor and go check them out. The band comprised of twin brothers, Sean and John Kamenar has been touring everywhere and with some great bands like Ace Frehley, Night Ranger, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, 10 Years, Hinder, Saliva, L.A. Guns, Dokken, Stephen Pearcy, Puddle Of Mudd, Hoobastank, Stone Temple Pilots, Everclear, Jackyl, and Enuff Z’ Nuff, just to name a few.

I’ve had the privilege to catch them live twice in the past few months and they never disappoint. They played the setlist below for both shows with one change, Bathroom Wall was swapped out for their cover of David Essex’s “Rock On” on the first show.

The energy these two guys (yes, they are the entire band) bring to the stage is incredible and undeniable.

When I first met Sean and John, it was obvious that they would succeed in whatever they chose to do. Their work ethic is rarely seen in this day and age and they have a clear vision of what they want to do, down to the most minute details. If you hadn’t heard of Kamenar before this article, rest assured it will not be the last time you hear about them.

10 Years & Kamenar Live at mahall’s 2/8/25

10 Years was supported by Keith Wallen of Breaking Benjamin, along with opening act Kamenar. Kamenar is a two-piece act between twin brothers Sean and John Kamenar. With only two members, duties are split up with Sean playing guitar, bass, and vocals, while John covers the drums and amping up the crowd. Kamenar debuted in 2020 with their self-titled EP and released a few singles in 2024 and 2025. They surprised me when they did a cover of Badflower’s ‘Animal,’ as I am a fan of them myself, and I loved their rendition of it. They are more alternative rock compared to the other bands on the bill, and their inspiration from the 70s and 80s bands was evident in their sound. I look forward to hearing what else they create this year!

He and his twin brother, John, work non-stop and not only have a new single out, “Animal”, they’re already on a new tour.

I love the fact that these young guys play music in the style of our genre and are interacting with bands of our genre. It’s like weaving the new in with the old. It’s great knowing there are those who will keep the genre alive.

Kamenar to embark on ‘The Road Dogz Tour’ throughout the USA

Imagine being in your 20’s, in a band and getting to open up all over the country  and hang out with many of your idols from another era… the 80’s!!!  Well, that is exactly what the brothers that make up the band, Kamenar, have been doing for the past several years and they’re set to do it again on their new tour  featuring shows with Ace Frehley, Night Ranger, Mike Tramp’s White Lion, and more.

One band they’re particularly excited about opening for on this tour is Night Ranger. Kamenar has been seeing Night Ranger live since they were little kids, and eventually even got to know some of the guys personally over the years.  They’ve had some great talks with Jack Blades and Brad Gillis.  In a recent talk I had with John and Sean, they recounted an early conversation they had with Night Ranger guitarist, Brad Gillis, where he advised them “Keep working hard and following your dreams, and soon you’ll be up here on the stage with us.”

The twin brothers have been at it for nine years now, as they first formed the band in 2015 after discovering Aerosmith through the Rock n’ Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios in Orlando. 

The brothers have been out touring nationally for the last few years, having performed shows with The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Alice Cooper, Slash ft. Myles Kennedy, Faster Pussycat, Hinder, Puddle Of Mudd, Warrant, Saliva, Bret Michaels, L.A. Guns, Nita Strauss, Dokken, Lynch Mob, King’s X, Jackyl, Stryper, Geoff Tate, Enuff Z’Nuff, Stephen Pearcy, Trixter, BulletBoys, Dangerous Toys, and Slaughter, among others.

With a sound heavily influenced by 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s rock, Kamenar mixes a variety of genres, creating a fresh new modern rock sound.

Defying odds, Kamenar performs as a two piece, uniquely creating a four piece sound. With Sean Kamenar on lead vocals, as well as playing guitar and bass simultaneously, and John Kamenar pounding on the drums, this brother duo is known for creating a massive wall of sound. 

Currently working on a full length album, Kamenar’s latest two singles “Now That We Both Know” and “The Man” are out now and available on all major streaming platforms.

Kamenar is heading back on the road, this time on their longest lineup of cities yet on the No Way Back Tour

Tampa, Florida, rock duo Kamenar is heading back on the road, this time on their longest lineup of cities yet on the No Way Back Tour. With 30 shows in 38 days, twins Sean and John will be hitting up cities throughout the eastern region of the United States, both headlining shows, and well as joining rock bands Jimmies Chicken Shack, 10 Years, and Smile Empty Soul on various stops throughout their tour. In the meantime, on their lead-up to leaving for tour, Kamenar invited Hype The Sound to check out their show as they played Thunder Alley outside of Amelie Arena, home to the Tampa Bay Lightning on April 25th, before Game 3 of the first round of NHL playoffs for the Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Florida Panthers. Sean and John Kamenar are twin brothers from Florida that started their band in 2015 after going on the Aerosmith roller coaster at Disney World. Although the brothers cite Aerosmith as the catalyst for their formation, their music takes on many textures and sounds. Working as a duo, they play their live show with no tracks and yet put forth a wall of sound. Kamenar have opened and shared stages with Alice Cooper, Slash, King’s X, Dokken, Stryper, and many more. They have a new single called “Now That We Both Know,” with another single called “The Man” ready to be released on Friday, May 26, 2024 and they are preparing to hit the road throughout the month of May and into June 2024.

In this interview, we talk to brothers Sean and John about their love for Aerosmith, their decision to perform as a duo, their plans to release new original music, and what we might see from them in the future.

The Tampa Bay Lightning is down 0-3 in its first round Stanley Cup Playoff matchup against the Florida Panthers, but at least the music was good last night.

Kamenar, a nationally-touring, homegrown band of twin brothers played Thunder Alley outside Amalie Arena last night as something of a warm up for a full east-coast tour that includes 30 shows in 38 days through 18 states.

In the vast landscape of music, where new acts emerge daily, few possess the ability to truly captivate me and leave a lasting impression. I hear new bands all the time, live and I usually end up socializing during most of the show. Enter Kamenar, a dynamic duo that defies expectations!

Imagine stepping into a venue, expecting just another rock performance, and being met with an overwhelming wave of sound that resonates deep within your soul. This was my experience when encountering Kamenar for the first time in Florida. Their raw energy, unmatched talent, and undeniable passion create a musical magic that is unparalleled in the rock scene.

Since the release of their debut EP in 2020, Kamenar has opened and shared stages with The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Alice Cooper, Hinder, Puddle of Mudd, Slash ft. AN INSIDE LOOK WITH TWIN ROCK DUO: KAMENAR

2023 was the year of living the rockstar lifestyle for Tampa, Florida rock duo Kamenar. Wrapping up the year with 3 headlining tours, twin brothers Sean and John Kamenar made memories to last a lifetime as they toured across the US, supporting epic bands like Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and L.A. Guns, even meeting music legend Steven Tyler along the way. With that being said, the Kamenar brothers have hit the new year running with a new single that dropped earlier this month and a festival appearance in the Florida Keys. Sean and John joined Hype the Sound to reflect on 2023 and what to expect to see from Kamenar in 2024.

You guys have been busy this past year! Three extended headlining tours in 49 different cities and sharing stages with notable acts like The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Puddle of Mudd, L.A. Guns, Dokken, and Saliva; reflecting on this past year, how does it feel for you guys?

John: “2023 was a great year for the band. From 3 headline tours to sharing stages with some of our favorite bands, it’s been amazing. We really wanted to focus this past year on staying out on the road, bringing our music and live show to new audiences.”

Any cities or tour moments that stick out to you as most memorable?

Sean: “Every city has a different story which is a pretty fun part about being out on the road. We went up to Boston, MA, and Lake Sunapee, NH last summer on our Crazy Life Tour. Some great shows and off-day hangs.”

John: “We had two shows back to back in Wyandotte, MI with Puddle of Mudd, Dokken, and Lynch Mob. That was an eventful weekend. Lots of laughs backstage as you can imagine haha.”

This past year you’ve had the opportunity to tour around the U.S. and meet so many great people, but one person that stands out above the rest is rockstar legend Steven Tyler! How did that happen?

John: “After being out for over a month on the Crazy Life Tour, we didn’t take much downtime, as we decided to go back out on the road to follow Aerosmith’s Peace Out Tour around. We happened to run into Steven, one night in Philly. Right place at the right time type of moment for sure!”

Sean: “It was one of those holy sh*t did that just happen moments haha. Aerosmith is the reason we started our band back in 2015, so to meet Steven and have a great conversation, was truly a special moment for us.”

During this year I’ve had the pleasure of getting to see you guys perform twice, and at both shows people never failed to ask the question are you two related, only for their minds to be blown when they are told that not only are you two brothers, but you are twins. What’s it like being in a band and touring the United States together?

John: “It has its moments haha. But at the end of the day, it’s a pretty cool thing to be able to tour the country and work alongside your brother. We’ve had some really good times. People always tell us that they’ve never seen a band composed of twin brothers, and we find that really cool. Our goal is to do something unique that hasn’t been seen before.”

 You currently have an EP out and a brand new single called “Now That We Both Know” that was released on January 5th. Tell me a little about the track, what’s the story behind it?

Sean: “Our new single “Now That We Both Know” is a song about a past relationship that I was in. The relationship ended up

getting toxic and just wasn’t meant to last. It was one of those things where the frustration and emotion of dealing with heartbreak just kind of wrote itself into the song.

We’ve been sitting on this one for a while, so it felt really good to finally release it after all this time. I think a lot of people out there can really relate this song to their own experiences.”

Who are some of your music influences that can be heard through your music?

Sean: “It’s No Surprize that Aerosmith is our biggest influence, but we’ve always been into the 80s hair bands like Ratt, Faster Pussycat, and Motley Crue. All the way to newer bands like Nothing More, Seether, and Chevelle. We’d like to say that you can hear an 80’s hard rock influence, mixed with a new, fresh modern rock sound.”

How is 2024 looking for Kamenar?

Sean: “2024 is looking pretty busy already. With our brand new single that just came out, to more singles and a full-length album to follow, we are really going to focus this year on releasing new music. We will embark on a handful of tours to promote the new songs throughout the year as well.” 

You guys are listed to perform the Pre-Parties at RokIsland Fest 2024 from 1/17-1/20 in Key West, FL, with bands like Stone Temple Pilots, Night Ranger, Bret Michaels, Buckcherry, and Tom Keifer on the lineup. What are you guys looking forward to the most?

Sean: “There’s nothing like RokIsland Fest. Just really good vibes down in Key West. This is going to be our second year performing and we are very grateful and stoked to be back.”

John: “We’re fans ourselves of the bands playing, so it’s an honor to be a part of such a great event.”

Any bands you want to see?

Sean: “You can catch me sidestage when Enuff Z Nuff is on haha. One of my favorites.”

John: “The whole lineup is killer, but I’m definitely looking forward to catching Dee Snider and seeing our guys in Trixter. We’ve played shows with a few of the bands on the lineup, so it’s going to be great to catch up with everyone.”

Any final thoughts, or messages to your fans?

John: “A heartfelt thank you to all of those who have continued to support the band over the years. We have a lot of exciting things coming up this year and look forward to seeing you all out on the road soon.
