Kamenar recently wrapped up their month-long tour with Pop Evil, closing out the run with three sold out performances at the world-famous The Machine Shop in Flint, Michigan.
The sold out Flint performances took place April 30th, May 1st, and May 2nd, with packed crowds filling the iconic venue each night.
The shows became even more memorable when Leigh Kakaty joined Kamenar on stage to perform the band’s cover of Pop Evil’s “Ways to Get High”.
For Sean and John Kamenar, touring alongside Pop Evil and performing the song with Leigh carried deep personal significance. Having long cited Pop Evil as an early musical influence, the collaboration marked a true full-circle moment for the brothers.
Hailing from Tampa, Kamenar have built a reputation as one of hard rock’s most unique independent touring acts. Performing as a two-piece band that delivers the power and energy of a full four-piece, Sean handles lead vocals, guitar, and bass simultaneously while John drives the band’s explosive live performance from behind the drums.
The Machine Shop shows capped off a massive national tour that brought Kamenar to audiences across the country and solidified the band’s growing reputation as a must-see live act in modern rock.
